O Tricolor paulista vem embalado de uma sequência de bons resultados nos últimos confrontos. Além de ter garantido sua primeira vitória como visitante no Brasileiro, contra o Atlético-GO, goleou a Universidad Católica e passou para as quartas de final da Copa Sul-Americana. Porém, o desafio agora é outro.

Contra o Galo, o Tricolor paulista busca se reerguer na tabela do campeonato e se aproximar mais ainda dos primeiros colocados. Para isso, Ceni terá algumas alternativas em mente.

Enquanto a equipe paulista enfrenta a sétima colocação na tabela, com 22 pontos, o adversário está em terceiro lugar, com 27 pontos – dois a menos que o atual líder, Palmeiras.

Com a saída de Sara, que já estava afastado há algum tempo por conta de lesão, novos nomes serão testados para cumprir sua função. O mesmo acontece com Arboleda – que passou por uma cirurgia recente, após sofrer uma ruptura nos ligamentos do tornozelo, mas já realiza tratamento no REFFIS.

– Nunca testei o Reinaldo como terceiro zagueiro, acho que não é muito a característica dele. A função do Sara está muito ligada ao do Patrick e acho que até mesmo o Alisson. São os dois que podem mais desenvolver, Talles tem mais energia é uma função. Sara é um cara com muita energia, mas com outras características. Se houver a perda do Sara, vejo que temos condições de suprir – disse o treinador.

Além das lesões, outro problema vem à tona: os pendurados e suspensos. Ceni não poderá contar com Diego Costa, Léo, Luciano, Rodrigo Nestor e nem com Gabriel Neves, que estarão cumprindo suspensão.

Caso nenhum dos machucados retornem a tempo, serão 14 desfalques para enfrentar o Atlético-MG.

Assim, o setor que mais fica comprometido é o defensivo. Também deverá tomar cuidado com advertências para Patrick, Calleri, Eder, André Anderson, Pablo Maia e Reinaldo – uma vez que todos estão pendurados.

Neste contexto, alguns nomes podem servir de alternativa, principalmente na zaga. Pablo Maia, por exemplo, pode exercer esta função, como já foi demonstrado pelo treinador.

Inclusive, as crias de Cotia devem ser salvação para a defesa são-paulina. Beraldo e Luizão também podem marcar presença, além do veterano Miranda.

Patrick é outro personagem que chama atenção, que atua como um meia ofensivo. Mesmo tendo sido titular em apenas 14 jogos desta temporada, participou de dez gols, sendo quatro marcados e seis assistências. Eleito o melhor jogador do confronto com a Católica, o atleta conquista ainda mais a confiança de Ceni.

Sem Luciano no próximo jogo, Patrick pode ser um dos principais nomes para dialogar com Calleri no ataque.

Semenyo and Cunha have shone in the Premier League this season, but Tottenham are also interested in signing a player who hasn’t been at his best, with a report from Caught Offside revealing they are now serious contenders to sign Manchester City’s Jack Grealish.

Man City are now willing to cash-in on Grealish this summer, and they will entertain offers of £38m – £43m, meaning they are set to make a huge £50m+ loss on the £100m they paid to sign him from Aston Villa in 2021.

Villa are among the rival suitors for their former player, while Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and West Ham United are also named as potential suitors, so there is no shortage of interest from within the Premier League.

"Unbelievable" Grealish needs fresh start

The Englishman has enjoyed a great deal of success during his time at the Etihad Stadium, and he played a major role in City’s treble-winning 2022-23 campaign, picking up five goals and seven assists in the Premier League.

– A equipe tomou de forma muito positiva o placar de 8 a 1 contra o Atlético-MG. Achamos que foi um grande triunfo e que nos dá muita moral para alcançarmos os nossos objetivos – comentou o capitão.

Agora, o Palmeiras sub-17 enfrenta o Sport para tentar garantir um lugar na final na competição nacional. Já no Paulistão, o Alviverde volta a campo neste sábado, às 11h, para enfrentar o Atlético Guarantinguetá, na Academia de Futebol II, em Guarulhos.
